In Christ Alone

In Christ alone my hope is found; He is my Light, my Strength, my Song

This Cornerstone, this solid Ground, firm through through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights  of love, what depths of peace, when fears are stilled, when strivings cease

My Comforter, my All in All, here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone who took on flesh, fullness of God in helpless babe

This gift of love and righteousness, scorned by the ones He came to save

"Til on that cross as Jesus died, the wrath of God was satisfied

For every sin on Him was laid; here in the death of Christ I live.

In Christ Alone is my favorite hymn. The words are just so powerful and meaningful! These are just the first two stanzas, but if you haven't heard of this song before, I'd encourage you to look it up right now and listen. :) And I haven't posted much of my photography lately, so I hope you enjoyed these flower photos.
What is your favorite hymn? Tell me in the comments!
I'll see you on Tuesday with a book review!

  5. These are so pretty!! I have so many favourite hymns. One I like is quite a recent hymn. It's called 'O Praise the Name (Anastasis)' by Hillsong. Such a nice song. Out of old hymns, it would be 'O For a Thousand Tongues' or 'Take my Life', by Frances Ridley Havergal.

  6. I love this song. It would probably take me a while to decide one favorite hymn, In Christ Alone is one of my favorites, and I have to agree with Katie, I love Be Thou My Vision.

    Also, lovely photos.

  10. Yes, I know this song! It's fun to play as well. :) I don't really have a favourite hymn or song, but I do always come back to 'It is Well with my Soul'. It means even more when you learn the story behind the guy that wrote it - Horatio Spafford.

    Nice flowers too. :)

    1. This is a fun song to play, isn't it! A bit hard to sing for some people, but still beautiful. ;)
"It Is Well With My Soul" is definitely a good one too, and the story behind it is so inspiring!
